On Saturday, September 19, 2026, the first meeting of the District-Level Development Monitoring Committee, known as “Drishti,” convened at the Circuit House auditorium in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh.

Minister Rajbhar reviewed key public welfare schemes across departments and issued specific guidelines. He instructed the Health Department to enhance the Janani Suraksha Yojana to increase institutional deliveries. He also directed the Communicable Disease Control Campaign and the Dastak Campaign to prioritize fogging, anti‑larvae measures, and lime spraying to prevent dengue and chikungunya, and to organize public health fairs for medical screening.
In the area of infrastructure, the minister ordered the Public Works Department to prioritize the construction, widening, and strengthening of new roads. He also directed the Executive Engineer to focus on road restoration projects under the Jal Jeevan Mission (Rural).
