A report from the Digital Communication Observatory at the Universidad Latina (ULatina) indicates that political violence against women in Costa Rica has reached significant levels during the first 100 days of the administration of Laura Fernandez.
The study analyzed online discourse and found that a majority of comments directed toward women in the political sphere are negative. Researchers characterized this trend as a form of political violence.
