On August 30, 2026, it was reported that young athletes from LUKS Hańczy Suwałki achieved notable successes at the XXIX National LZS Games for athletes under 16, which took place on August 28 in Spała. Among the standout performances was Oliwia Białaszewska, who won the 300m hurdles with a time of 46.51 seconds.
Other athletes from LUKS Hańczy also performed well in their respective events. Aleksander Dąbrowski finished just off the podium in fourth place in the triple jump, achieving a personal best of 12.25 meters. He was also a finalist in the long jump, where he recorded a distance of 5.73 meters.
Kacper Kamczycki secured fifth place in the shot put with a personal best throw of 12.65 meters. The results of other athletes from Suwałki included:
- Maria Moisienko – 8th place in the 1000m with a time of 3:17.97, a personal best.
- Filip Żelazko – 9th place in the 110m hurdles with a time of 17.69, a personal best; 300m hurdles with a time of 47.78, also a personal best.
- Sebastian Jasielon – 9th place in the 300m hurdles with a time of 45.12, a personal best.
- 4x100m boys’ relay team consisting of F. Żelazko, S. Jasielon, P. Pachutko, and A. Dąbrowski – 8th place with a time of 49.93.
- Nadia Barszczewska – long jump with a distance of 4.80m, a personal best.
- Piotr Kalinowski – 1000m steeplechase with a time of 3:35, a personal best.
- Tomasz Jurewicz – long jump with a distance of 5.24m, a personal best; high jump with a height of 155cm, a personal best.
Looking ahead, the next competition for these young athletes will be the Inter-Provincial Championships for Young Athletes, scheduled to take place in Białystok on September 5.
