Petrol Gets Cheaper by 35 Paisa, Diesel Costlier by Rs 5 as OGRA Revises Fuel Prices

In a mixed revision for consumers, the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has announced a reduction in petrol prices while increasing the cost of diesel. Petrol has been slashed by 35 paisa per litre, bringing the new price to Rs 315.80. On the other hand, diesel has become more expensive by Rs 5 per litre.

The notification was issued today by OGRA, affecting fuel prices across Pakistan. The adjustment comes as part of periodic reviews of petroleum product prices in the country.

For consumers, the slight decrease in petrol will offer some relief at the pump, but the significant hike in diesel is expected to impact transportation and goods prices, potentially fueling inflation.

The new rates are effective immediately, and all fuel stations are directed to display the updated prices. OGRA continues to monitor global crude oil prices and domestic factors to ensure fair pricing.
