In a disturbing incident that has sparked widespread outrage, a passenger was arrested for kicking a youth off a moving train in Raipur on suspicion of mobile theft. The accused, identified as R. Suresh Kumar, was taken into custody after a viral video captured the assault.\n\nThe incident occurred on July 15 aboard the Azad Hind Express near Urkura and Mandhar railway stations. The victim, accused of stealing a mobile, clung to the train’s footboard to escape the crowd’s anger. Instead of helping, Kumar repeatedly kicked him, causing him to fall onto the tracks. The victim is believed to be seriously injured but has not been located yet.\n\nGovernment Railway Police (GRP) and Railway Protection Force (RPF) acted swiftly after the video surfaced online. Kumar was detained at Janjgir-Champa station and handed over to Raipur GRP. He has been charged under sections 115(2) and 117(3) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and remanded to judicial custody.\n\nMeanwhile, search teams are scouring railway tracks, nearby villages, and hospitals for the missing youth.
