The Paphos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Evep) has been appointed as the lead partner for a new two‑year Erasmus+ project aimed at improving youth skills in blockchain, artificial intelligence (AI) and Web3 technologies.
The project, titled “Enhancing Youth Education in Blockchain, AI and Web3 through International Exchange,” was launched during an opening meeting held in Pescara, Italy. The event brought together representatives from partner organisations in Cyprus, Italy, Spain and Belgium.
Evep’s European programmes and educational training officer, Stefanos Hadjiioannou, and chamber associate and expert, Paris Paraskevas, attended the meeting to represent the chamber.
In addition to the partners’ meeting, a two‑day conference focused on blockchain technology was held in Pescara. The conference provided a platform for participants to share knowledge, experience and best practices related to emerging digital technologies and their application in education and youth skills development.
During the two‑year project, further blockchain‑focused conferences are planned in Cyprus and Spain to continue the exchange of expertise and support the development of a European network dedicated to knowledge and innovation.
Evep’s role as lead partner reflects the chamber’s ongoing efforts to leverage European programmes to promote innovation and emerging technologies, while creating new educational and development opportunities for young people in the region.
