Opposition MP highlights overgrown roadsides while raising concerns about maintenance.

Diego Martin North/East MP Colm Imbert has criticised the Government over what he described as neglect of basic maintenance in his constituency and across Trinidad and Tobago.
Speaking during a press conference, Imbert pointed to overgrown vegetation along roadsides, claiming grass in some areas had reached approximately six feet in height.
“Six feet tall, six feet tall at the side of the road,” Imbert said. “And that is not confined to Diego Martin North/East. That’s the whole country.”
Imbert used the condition of the roadsides to support his wider criticism of the Government’s management of public spaces and infrastructure.
His comments represent the Opposition MP’s assessment of conditions, with responsibility for roadside maintenance varying depending on the road and relevant authority.
