A pilot project, known as NoCargo, has recovered 392 stolen vehicles in its first year of operation. The project is a collaborative effort between the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, INTERPOL Ottawa, the Canada Border Services Agency, the Financial Transactions and Reports Analysis Centre of Canada, and Canadian financial institutions. According to reports, the project has prevented the export of hundreds of vehicles that were obtained through fraudulent means. The initiative aims to combat vehicle theft and exportation, with the participating agencies working together to share intelligence and resources.
