**Ghana’s Golden Maidens to Host Cote d’Ivoire in International Netball Friendly**
The Ghana national female netball team, the Golden Maidens, is set to host Cote d’Ivoire for a two-day international friendly series at the Accra Sports Stadium. The matches are scheduled to take place on September 10 and 11, with both fixtures beginning at 3:00 p.m.
The event is expected to draw several high-profile guests, including the Minister of Sports and Recreation, Kofi Iddie Adams; the Director-General of the National Sports Authority, Yaw Ampofo Ankrah; and the President of the Ghana Olympic Committee, Richard Akpokavie. Also slated to attend are the President of the Africa Paralympic Committee, Samson Deen; the President of the Netball Federation of Ghana (NFG), Reverend E. D. Nikoi; and the NFG Technical Director, Kofi Asamoah Acheampong.
The National Netball Federation has issued a statement encouraging the netball community, including students from basic and senior high schools as well as public universities, to attend the matches and support the national team.
The Golden Maidens regularly participate in continental competitions organized by African Netball, such as the Netball Africa Cup. The team also engages in bilateral test matches and regional invitational tournaments within West Africa, subject to available funding.
