More Than Eclipse – Stay Awhile Out West

Travelers Heading to Western Iceland for Eclipse Encouraged to Extend Their Stay

For those planning to travel to western Iceland to witness the upcoming eclipse, it is recommended to make the most of their trip by exploring the region beyond the brief celestial event. The eclipse is expected to last approximately two minutes, with the longest duration of two minutes and 13 seconds visible from the Látrabjarg promontory, Iceland’s westernmost point. The Snæfellsnes region will also experience a slightly shorter eclipse.

Rather than just focusing on the eclipse, visitors are advised to take the opportunity to discover the beauty and attractions that western Iceland has to offer.
