The Ministry of Law of the Republic of Indonesia has announced the upcoming launch of a unified digital platform, the PASTI application, scheduled for October 1, 2026. The application is designed to integrate 470 public services, allowing citizens to monitor the status of their applications with increased transparency.
Minister of Law Supratman Andi Agtas introduced the initiative during a public lecture at the University of Surabaya (Ubaya) on Thursday, September 17, 2026. He stated that the super app aims to provide accessible services to all Indonesians through a single interface.
In addition to the new application, the Ministry is utilizing artificial intelligence to address the issue of overlapping regulations. According to Supratman, the technology is being used to simplify, codify, and unify thousands of existing rules to eliminate contradictions and redundancies. He noted that this regulatory streamlining is part of a direct mandate from the President of Indonesia to clarify the scope of authority between various government institutions.
Supratman emphasized that the Ministry is also shifting its bureaucratic approach to be more responsive to public feedback. He stated that all directorates general, agency heads, and regional offices are adopting a service-oriented paradigm. Addressing students at the event, he encouraged them to remain open to criticism and to prioritize listening as a key leadership trait.
The Rector of the University of Surabaya, Dr. Benny Lianto, expressed support for the Ministry’s initiatives. He commended the Minister’s efforts in digital transformation and regulatory reform, noting that the presentation served as a positive example for the academic community in East Java.
