**Andorran driver in serious condition after Pla de Sant Tirs crash, now stable**
An Andorran driver who was admitted to the Meritxell Hospital in serious condition following a car accident on the C‑14 at Pla de Sant Tirs in the Ribera d’Urgellet is now reported to be stable and out of danger, the hospital said on Monday.
The crash, which occurred on Sunday afternoon, involved a vehicle that fell approximately ten metres down a slope. All five occupants of the car were Andorran residents. The driver was taken to Meritxell Hospital and placed in the intensive care unit (ICU) while awaiting surgery. According to the hospital’s spokesperson, the patient’s condition has improved and he is no longer in immediate danger.
The other four victims were transferred to hospitals in Spain. One was admitted to the Arnau de Vilanova Hospital in Lleida, another to the Parc Taulí Hospital in Sabadell, and a third to a hospital in Seu d’Urgell. The hospital in Lleida has since discharged one of its patients on the same day as the accident, and the patient transferred to the Catalan hospital has not shown further progress.
No further details about the condition of the remaining victims have been released. The Meritxell Hospital has not yet provided an update on the status of the other patients.
