KU social work programs earn CSWE reaccreditation

The University of Kansas (KU) has received reaccreditation from the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) for its Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) and Master of Social Work (MSW) programs. The accreditation will remain in effect for eight years, covering the 2033‑2034 academic year. The reaccreditation effort was led by a project team that included Christopher Ward, the current MSW program director; Nancy Jo Williams, who previously served as MSW program director; and Juliana Carlson, former BSW program director. “Earning reaccreditation from CSWE is a testament to the consistent strength of social work education at KU,” said Carney, who is responsible for overseeing the university’s social work programs.
