KMC praises Trinibad artists for putting unity before division

KMC praises Plumpy Boss, K-Man 6 and Medz Boss for uniting Trinibad music scene
Veteran Trinidad and Tobago entertainer Ken Marlon Charles, better known as KMC, has publicly praised Plumpy Boss, K-Man 6 and Medz Boss, saying their apparent move towards unity could have a positive impact on the Trinibad music scene.
KMC delivered the message in a social media video, arguing that positive developments involving local artistes deserve attention, particularly when negative incidents are often quickly highlighted.
“You see when bad things happen, they’re always quick to talk about it. So you see when good things happening, we need to talk about it,” KMC said before directly congratulating the three artistes.
He said he was proud of the move involving Plumpy Boss, K-Man 6 and Medz Boss and stressed that unity could make the artistes and their music stronger.
According to KMC, the message extends beyond the three men and speaks to the wider direction of the Trinibad movement.
“Unity is strength and strength is power,” he declared, warning that separation and division could ultimately damage what the artistes are trying to build.
KMC argued that greater cooperation among the artistes could instead help uplift the music and strengthen the movement surrounding them.
He also pointed to several people he believes have been standing behind the artistes, naming Johnny Bravo, Bones and KG, while claiming there is significant support for them across Trinidad and Tobago.
The veteran entertainer ended his message by making it clear that what pleased him most was seeing artistes associated with Trinibad moving towards unity rather than continued division.
“I happy to see that unification going on amongst the Trinibad artists right now. I feel real nice to see this,” KMC said.
His comments represent a strong public endorsement from an established figure in Trinidad and Tobago’s music industry at a time when attention is increasingly turning towards whether greater unity among younger artistes could help move the Trinibad genre in a more positive direction.
