Bhutan has deployed nearly USD 3 million worth of Japan‑supported medical equipment across six eastern districts as the two countries celebrate 40 years of diplomatic relations.
The equipment, valued at approximately Nu 300 million (about USD 3.15 million), was provided by the Government of Japan under a project aimed at strengthening healthcare services in eastern Bhutan. It was officially handed over to the Ministry of Health during events marking the 40th anniversary of Bhutan‑Japan friendship.
