**Hyundai Mobis Opens Europe‑Only Power‑Electric Systems Plant in Nováky, Slovakia**
*Nováky, Slovakia – 2 September 2024* – Hyundai Mobis Slovakia inaugurated a new manufacturing facility in the town of Nováky on Wednesday. The plant, the company’s first and only production site of its kind in Europe, focuses on the assembly of integrated electric power‑train systems for automotive applications.
The opening ceremony was attended by Prime Minister Robert Fico and Minister of Economy Denisa Saková. The investment, valued at approximately €174 million, created 310 new jobs in the region.
Production at the facility began in mid‑February 2024. When operating at full capacity, the plant is expected to manufacture up to 280 000 electric power‑train systems annually.
Construction of the Nováky plant started in October 2024, marking Hyundai Mobis’s expansion into European manufacturing of power‑electric components.
The company has indicated that further investments in Slovakia are planned, though details on additional spending, future product lines, or total employment potential have not been disclosed.
