**Sri Bestari Private School Unveils Global Drone Arena in Partnership with Futurise**
*Cyberjaya, Malaysia – 27 August 2026* – Sri Bestari Private School inaugurated a new facility called the Global Drone Arena on 27 August, aimed at providing students with a dedicated space for drone‑soccer and obstacle‑based flight activities. The arena was developed in collaboration with Futurise, a government‑mandated company that operates the National Academy for Drone Sports Excellence (AKSADRON) programme.
The launch ceremony was attended by Azliza Mohd Sarif, Head Assistant Director of the Private Education Unit, School Management Sector, Selangor State Education Department, who officiated the event. Futurise’s Head of Ventures and Alliances, Azrita Abdul Kadir, delivered a keynote address.
The Global Drone Arena is a caged indoor facility located on the Sri Bestari campus. It includes specialised obstacles designed for drone‑soccer matches and skills‑based challenges. The arena serves as the training ground for the school’s “Drone Hero Programme,” which began in June 2026 under the AKSADRON framework. According to the programme’s schedule, students first received structured workshops on drone‑soccer fundamentals before progressing to competition, culminating in an internal drone‑soccer tournament held on 6 August 2026.
In a statement, Azrita Abdul Kadir said, “At Futurise, we believe that building the next generation of technology talent starts by giving young people meaningful, hands‑on exposure to emerging technologies. Futurise’s AKSADRON programme is tasked by the Malaysian government to support the development of the country’s drone sports ecosystem, as outlined in the National Drone Sports Strategic Roadmap (NADSAR). Based in Cyberjaya, AKSADRON operates Malaysia’s first dedicated drone sports training hub, connecting students, athletes, enthusiasts and industry stakeholders through structured training and competition.
The Global Drone Arena expands this ecosystem into the school environment, creating a pathway for students to transition from classroom exposure to practical training and competitive participation. Futurise reports that, to date, its AKSADRON initiatives have reached more than 10,000 participants, trained over 2,000 students and engaged more than 20 stakeholder organisations.
