**Former Malawi Energy Regulatory Authority CEO Denied Bail**
*Lilongwe, Malawi –* The Lilongwe Magistrate Court denied bail to Collins Magalasi, the former chief executive officer of the Malawi Energy Regulatory Authority (MERA), on Friday. Magalasi is facing three charges related to the proposed sale of Amaryllis Hotel.
The charges include allegations of fraud, theft, and money laundering connected to transactions involving the Public Service Pension Fund (PSTF). Magalasi is currently awaiting trial on these counts.
