Two salons based in Eastwood have received honors at The English Hair and Beauty Awards Midlands 2026. The ceremony, which took place on September 6 at the Leonardo Royal Hotel in Birmingham, recognized professionals and businesses for their contributions to the hair and beauty industry.
Westwick’s Hairdressers, located on Nottingham Road, received the Recognised for Excellence Award in the Local Salon of the Year category. Owner Claire Westwick stated that the award was a surprise and expressed appreciation for the nomination.
The Nail Shack was also recognized, winning the Outstanding Achievement Award in the Nail Salon of the Year category. Kirsty Burrows, the founder of the salon, noted that the recognition for her work was meaningful.
The event, organized by Oceanic Awards, is now in its 14th year. According to an Oceanic Awards spokesperson, the ceremony aims to highlight talent and dedication within the industry, celebrating businesses that demonstrate service, creativity, and innovation.
