DJ Punz says his team was restricted despite having no criminal records anywhere in the world.

DJ Punz has questioned reported restrictions affecting members of his team in St Kitts and Grenada, saying they have no criminal records and suggesting they may have been targeted because of association.

During the interview, Punz said his team was still trying to understand the basis for the action, arguing that the music they play is also performed by artistes who continue to be booked in those countries.

He noted that other DJs are also booked to play the same songs, leaving him questioning why his team was singled out.

Punz said he believed authorities lacked evidence that could justify broader action against them and questioned what exactly they were being blamed for.

Later in the discussion, he suggested the restrictions may have resulted from internal conflicts involving promoters, although he presented that as his own theory rather than an established fact.

He speculated that one promoter could have attempted to interfere with another promoter’s event, resulting in restrictions that ultimately affected the entertainers involved.

Punz said he had not attempted to return since the reported 2024 restriction and therefore assumed it remained in place. Source evidence needs review. Uploading an image cannot clear this hold.
