**Kathmandu Metropolitan’s Acting Chief Visits Flood‑Injured Patients**

*Kathmandu, Nepal – August 27, 2026* – Sunita Dangol, the acting chief of the Kathmandu Metropolitan City, conducted a site visit to assess the condition of patients hospitalized after being injured in the recent flooding of the Bhote Koshi River.

During the visit, Dangol toured the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital (TU Teaching Hospital) and the National Trauma Center. She met with the injured individuals as well as their relatives, and inspected the facilities designated for critical care, including the “Yellow Zone” and the intensive care unit (ICU).

The purpose of the inspection was to obtain first‑hand information on the health status of the flood victims and to evaluate the adequacy of medical care being provided.
