RP.PL, the Polish news portal, has announced a new subscription offer that reduces the monthly fee from 39 zł to 9,90 zł. The discounted rate grants readers access to the portal’s full range of content, including daily news, expert commentary, and in‑depth reports and publicistics featured in the “Plusie Minusie” section. The offer is available on both the website and the RP.PL mobile application. In a related editorial, the author raises the question, “Czy sztuczna inteligencja sprowadzi na nas zagładę?” (“Will artificial intelligence bring about our destruction?”). The piece argues that catastrophic predictions about AI should be viewed as warnings, emphasizing the need for caution and thoughtful consideration to ensure that AI serves as a tool for humanity rather than a source of suffering. The author counters these fears by expressing confidence in human wisdom and innovation, citing the many ways people have historically found safe ways to harness new technologies. The editorial notes that recent months have highlighted the growing scale of challenges that accompany AI’s expanding capabilities. It stresses that while AI is rightly associated with the greatest hopes for 21st‑century development, its potential benefits—such as increased efficiency in healthcare and cost‑reducing automation—can only be realized if the technology is safe and society accepts its widespread economic use.
