Main Points
Chris Brown and Usher are bringing their joint R&B tour to the Mercedes‑Benz Stadium in Atlanta for five consecutive nights, a record‑setting run for the venue. The first concert, scheduled for Thursday, November 5, began more than two hours late, according to the Atlanta Journal‑Constitution. Neither artist performed together on stage, and each set was shortened because the show ran until midnight, the time limit for piano performances. The only guest appearances that night were by TI and Young Dro. After the show, Brown posted on Instagram, calling the online rumors of a feud a “farsa” (fraud) and urging fans not to be misled. When Usher took the stage, he greeted the audience with “Welcome to my show,” a statement that fueled further speculation on social media. Comments from fans on X included calls for the two artists to keep their distance and suggestions that the tour should end. The duo will resume the Atlanta run with four additional shows: Friday, November 6; Sunday, November 8; Tuesday, November 10; and Wednesday, November 11. After the Atlanta dates, the tour will continue in Los Angeles. The joint tour has been a commercial success. Billboard’s Boxscore reported that the R&B tour grossed $77.4 million and sold 423,000 tickets across ten concerts in September. Billboard has reached out to Live Nation and the representatives of Chris Brown and Usher for comment. Article source: De Ultimo Minuto | Image credit: De Ultimo Minuto
