Sismo de magnitud 4.5 se sintió esta noche en Pucallpa, región Ucayali, informó el IGP

A magnitude‑4.5 earthquake struck the city of Pucallpa in the Ucayali region at 8:10 p.m. on Wednesday, November 5, according to the Instituto Geofísico del Perú (IGP). The National Seismic Center located the epicenter about 43 kilometers north of Pucallpa, at a depth of 159 kilometers. The tremor reached an intensity of level III in Pucallpa, within the province of Coronel Portillo, and was felt most strongly on the upper floors of buildings and in nearby homes. In the aftermath, the Central Market in Lima’s downtown area reported that assembling an emergency kit for a potential earthquake costs at least 120 soles. The kit typically includes basic items such as a first‑aid kit (priced between 8 and 24 soles), a radio (about 20 soles), a flashlight (starting at 10 soles), and non‑perishable foods like canned tuna and crackers. For pet owners, experts recommend a dedicated emergency kit that contains food and water for three to five days, a basic first‑aid kit, daily medications, a copy of the pet’s vaccination record, a leash or harness, and a spare collar. Having these supplies ready can help ensure a smoother evacuation and reduce panic during a disaster.
