Squirrel Busts Open Caramel Wafer Packet and Chows Down Like a True Snack Lover Whoever said humans are the only ones who cannot resist a good caramel wafer clearly never met this squirrel! In a hilarious video making the rounds online, a hungry little squirrel was captured sitting beside a parked vehicle, happily chowing down on what appears to be a Tunnock's Caramel Wafer, a familiar snack enjoyed by many Trinidadians. And judging by the scene, this little fellow was not prepared to waste any time. The packet was already busted open, the wrapper was lying on the wet pavement, and the squirrel had the caramel wafer firmly in its paws, taking full advantage of its unexpected feast. With its fluffy tail resting behind it, the squirrel sat comfortably near the vehicle's rear tyre, holding the wafer like someone who had just secured their favourite snack. The amusing sight is particularly relatable for Trinidadians familiar with the popular chocolate-coated caramel wafer, known for its crispy layers, sweet caramel filling and distinctive red-and-gold packaging. Whether the squirrel actually tore open the wrapper itself is unclear, but one thing was obvious from the footage: once that wafer was out, the little animal was enjoying every opportunity to chow down. The scene almost looked like someone who had been craving a caramel wafer all day and simply could not wait another second to take that first bite. And while the squirrel's enthusiasm makes for an entertaining moment, chocolate-coated snacks are not suitable food for wildlife. The location of the recording has not been confirmed, but the video delivers a little humour that snack lovers everywhere, particularly those in Trinidad and Tobago, can appreciate. After all, when a good caramel wafer is in your paws, apparently even a squirrel knows there is no time to waste!
