Lornna Soto inspecciona Escuela de Bellas Artes de Canóvanas

Canóvanas – The mayor of Canóvanas, Lornna Soto, visited the local Escuela de Bellas Artes on Tuesday to inspect the school’s facilities and assess its academic offerings. During the visit, Soto examined the infrastructure and discussed potential improvements aimed at better serving children and youth in the community. Municipal officials said the inspection is part of a broader effort to optimize educational spaces and strengthen programs in the arts and music, which they view as essential components of community development. The plan will focus on enhancing the school’s physical environment and expanding its curriculum to meet the needs of local students. In a separate community survey, residents were asked whether they have experienced a lack of potable water service. Of those who responded, 46 answered “yes” and 21 answered “no.” The regional newspaper Presencia remains the only weekly publication in the northeast of Puerto Rico that distributes 75,000 free copies.
