Banreservas financia con más de RD$200 millones apartamentos en Las Acacias II

Banreservas has approved financing of more than RD$200 million for the purchase of apartments in the Las Acacias II residential project in Santo Domingo Este. The loans carry an annual interest rate of 8 %, fixed for seven years, and are intended to help families acquire their own homes and reduce the country’s housing deficit. The second phase of the Paraíso Oriental development, managed by Constructora DERCO, delivered 97 apartments on Saturday. The hand‑over ceremony was attended by President Luis Abinader, Minister of Housing, Habitat and Buildings Jean Luis Rodríguez, provincial and municipal officials, construction sector representatives, and Banreservas executives. During the event, Miguel Ramos, representing Banreservas and its executive president, Dr. Leonardo Aguilera, emphasized the bank’s commitment to the government’s housing policy. “The Banco de Reservas is the fundamental ally of the president’s housing policy; it tackles the housing deficit in our country and reaches the most needy sectors,” Ramos said. He added that Banreservas’ participation in projects like this brings financing opportunities closer to Dominicans and helps more families achieve the stability and security that owning a home provides. “Each hand‑over of a house reaffirms our commitment to continue contributing to more families having a roof over their heads,” he remarked. Ramos highlighted the importance of collaboration among the Ministry of Housing, Habitat and Buildings (MIVHED), Banreservas, and the private sector in developing housing initiatives that benefit working families and improve their quality of life. He noted that the delivered apartments represent new opportunities for owners to build a future with their loved ones and praised the efforts of those who made the project possible. The financing program, with its fixed 8 % rate over seven years, is part of Banreservas’ broader effort to support home ownership and address the housing shortage in the Dominican Republic.
