Centrafrique : Hassan Bouba, l’ex-rebelle que Touadéra ne veut pas écarter

In the Central African Republic, former rebel Hassan Bouba remains a key figure in the government under President Faustin-Archange Touadéra. Bouba, who once operated between the towns of Berbérati and Birao, was appointed to the Ministry of Urbanism during the most recent cabinet reshuffle.

Despite his past as a rebel, Bouba continues to play a central role in security matters, particularly following the recent offensive on Amdafok. President Touadéra has indicated that he does not wish to remove Bouba from his position, citing the former rebel’s on‑the‑ground experience and influence in the region.

As the government seeks to stabilize the country, Bouba’s dual background as a former insurgent and current minister is seen as an asset in addressing both urban development and security challenges.
