**ABUJA** – The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has issued a formal warning to political actors, stating that the force will not tolerate acts of incitement as the country approaches the 2027 general elections.
The Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO), CSP Anietie Iniedu, emphasized that inciting the public is a criminal offense under Nigerian law.
In a statement issued in Abuja, the FPRO cautioned politicians and their supporters against engaging in rhetoric or actions that could threaten national security or public order. The police reiterated their commitment to maintaining law and order throughout the electoral cycle and warned that those found violating the law would face legal consequences.
