Burgermeister to Open First Prague Restaurant on Wenceslas Square in 2027

**PRAGUE —** Berlin-based burger chain Burgermeister is planning to enter the Czech market with the opening of its first Prague restaurant on Wenceslas Square in early 2027.

The upcoming location will serve as the operational base for the brand’s broader expansion across the Czech Republic, with additional restaurants already in the pipeline, according to the company. Burgermeister has not yet announced the precise address or a confirmed opening date for the Prague site.

The new restaurant will feature the chain’s established concept, which focuses on freshly prepared burgers and fries. A portion of the food production is handled in-house, and the company operates its own bakery.

Over the past two decades, Burgermeister has grown from a single location into an international chain with 32 restaurants across Germany and other European markets. The brand was founded in 2006 in the Kreuzberg district of Berlin, occupying an unconventional space inside a former public toilet beneath the railway tracks near the Schlesisches Tor station.
