Kigali Police Warn Against Use of Prohibited Substances at Parties
The Rwanda National Police has warned individuals organizing parties, known as ‘house parties’, against the use of prohibited substances. According to the police, those found using or distributing these substances will be considered as offenders and will face penalties.
This warning comes after 20 young people were hospitalized after consuming prohibited substances at a ‘house party’ in Kigali. The incident occurred after the individuals had consumed substances that had recently been banned from the Rwandan market.
The police spokesperson announced the warning, emphasizing the importance of adhering to the law and avoiding the use of prohibited substances. The police have urged party organizers to ensure that their events are safe and compliant with the law, and have warned that those who fail to comply will face consequences.
