BENTONG, July 25 – Six Indian youths aged between 15 and 25 lost their lives in a horrific road accident early this morning on Jalan Karak Lama, near the Jambu Rias Health Clinic. The Toyota Vios they were travelling in collided head-on with a 1-ton lorry around 4:24 am.
Emergency services received a call and rushed to the scene, but all six occupants of the car were pronounced dead. Firefighters and rescue personnel from the Bentong fire station confirmed the fatalities.
The victims, believed to be from the local Indian community, were travelling together when the crash occurred. The cause of the accident is under police investigation, and authorities have urged witnesses to come forward.
The tragic incident has sent shockwaves through the tight-knit community, with friends and family mourning the sudden loss. Road safety advocates are calling for improved signage and speed enforcement on the stretch known for accidents.
