The Malawi Human Rights Commission described the killing as ‘shocking’ and called for those responsible to be hunted down and prosecuted. The victim, identified as Asif Khan, was a former employee who reportedly died after being accused of gold theft. The Commission’s intervention highlights growing concerns over the safety of foreign workers in Malawi and the need for accountability in violent crimes. No arrests have been confirmed yet, but the Commission insists that the full force of the law must be applied.
