Rivers United technical adviser Finidi George has set his sights on winning the 2026/27 Nigeria Premier Football League title. Speaking after the club finished as runners-up last season, Finidi expressed confidence in the squad assembled during the transfer window.
‘If you look at the recruitment, we have strengthened in key areas,’ Finidi said. ‘The target is the title, and I believe we have what it takes.’
The Pride of Rivers will be looking to go one better after narrowly missing out last term. Finidi’s experience and tactical acumen are expected to play a crucial role.
