Republic Bank has launched its Five for Fun Cricket program in Saint Lucia, aimed at empowering youth through sports while instilling discipline and adherence to rules. Introduced during an event at the bank’s Castries headquarters, the initiative emphasizes the importance of cricket in fostering unity and personal development among young participants.
Director of Sports Clive Évora Jules highlighted that cricket promotes discipline and respect for rules, critical life skills for youth. The program will involve 38 schools across the island, creating an inclusive and enjoyable environment for students to engage in friendly competition.
Youth Development and Sports Minister Kenson Casimir praised Republic Bank for its dedication to local sports and community development. Teachers and students alike expressed excitement over the opportunities that the Five for Fun initiative will provide, with testimonials from participants showcasing the program’s profound impact on their lives and cricket careers.
