The National Gas Company of Trinidad and Tobago Limited (NGC) recently refuted claims of sponsoring a concert held at the Queen’s Park Oval on May 2, 2026. The company’s branding, which was prominently displayed on stage, led to misinterpretation across social media platforms insinuating NGC’s involvement in the event. However, NGC made it clear that it has not sponsored any concert or event held at this venue.
The NGC-branded signage visible in the concert images was part of a commercial agreement with the Queen’s Park Cricket Club (QPCC). This arrangement, in place for over twelve years, allowed NGC to facilitate the purchase and installation of a digital replay screen at the venue. In return, NGC was granted a Corporate Box and associated branding rights on the screen.
This agreement, however, was terminated by NGC in September 2025, and holds no connection to any events hosted at the facility. In light of the recent confusion, NGC has announced plans to remove its signage and branding from the Queen’s Park Oval, in an effort to prevent any future misunderstandings.
