Starting today, March 2nd, 2026, the mandatory Fixed Penalty Warning is in effect. As per the Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation’s new system, drivers guilty of any of the 18 listed traffic violations will now receive a warning rather than an immediate fixed penalty ticket. The offenders will have either three or seven business days, depending on the violation, to rectify the issue and have their vehicle inspected. If they fail to comply within the specified period, their warning will be turned into a fixed penalty notice.
