A confrontation between a woman and a police officer marked the start of the in-person phase of the 2026 Migrant Registration Framework (MRF) at the Ato Boldon Stadium on Monday. The incident, which remained verbal, took place at the security checkpoint shortly after the facility opened for scheduled interviews. The MRF, designed to formalize the status of migrants in Trinidad and Tobago, had just transitioned to mandatory in-person interviews following the end of online registration on February 25. Attendees were reminded to respect their assigned times and adhere to all security protocols at the venues, which include Hasely Crawford Stadium, Larry Gomes Stadium, and Dwight Yorke Stadium in Tobago.
