A Barataria North Secondary School student was bullied by his peers over his shoes, with the incident being filmed and uploaded to social media. The video, which sparked outrage, led to an outpouring of support for the student, with several companies, including LoudKicks, Polished Spaces, and Budram Jewelers, stepping forward to provide assistance. They have offered to donate sneakers, help with school uniforms, and other necessities. The student, who hails from a low-income family in a squatting community in Arima, has since visited Phats International Styles and picked out a new pair of shoes that was already paid for.
