The maximum supplement is set at 40 percent of the subsistence minimum for individuals who have lost their ability to work. With the subsistence minimum for this category established at 2,595 hryvnias for 2026, the maximum monthly addition amounts to 1,038 hryvnias. This payment is issued in addition to a recipient’s primary pension, whether that pension is based on age, disability, loss of a breadwinner, or length of service.
Eligibility for the maximum 40 percent supplement includes Heroes of Ukraine, individuals awarded the Order of the Heavenly Hundred Heroes, and women who have given birth to and raised ten or more children to the age of six. Other categories of recipients may qualify for supplements ranging from 23 percent to 39 percent of the subsistence minimum, which equates to monthly amounts between 596.85 and 1,012.05 hryvnias.
The Pension Fund noted that these payments were recalculated effective January 1, 2026, following the adjustment of the subsistence minimum. To receive the supplement, applicants must provide documentation verifying their eligibility. Applications can be submitted in either paper or electronic form. If an application is filed within 12 months of the date the right to the supplement was acquired, the payment may be backdated to the date that right was established.
