The Sudanese Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research announced that more than 16,000 students successfully completed their electronic applications for admission to higher education institutions within the first two days of the process. Data from the ministry’s electronic monitoring dashboard, recorded as of Friday evening, indicates that many other applicants are currently in various stages of the submission process.
Dr. Babiker Hussein Ahmed, Director General of the General Administration for Information Technology and Networks, urged students and their families to thoroughly review the admission guide before beginning their applications. He emphasized the importance of understanding all requirements, particularly regarding the selection and ordering of academic preferences, to ensure accuracy and avoid errors during the submission process.
To support applicants, the ministry has established over 75 guidance centers across the capital and various states. These centers are staffed by specialists and experts tasked with providing academic guidance and assisting students with the application and preference-selection procedures.
The ministry has also facilitated payment options through the Ministry of Finance’s “Eisali” system, which is integrated with more than 25 banks and over 10 banking applications. Officials have encouraged students to finalize their applications before the deadline and to rely exclusively on official ministry platforms for updates and guidance regarding the admission process.
