Italy’s museums and galleries are preparing a packed autumn and winter programme that spans Renaissance painting, modernism, photography, contemporary art and more. The 12 exhibitions highlighted below will run from September 2026 through May 2027 and feature works from some of the world’s most celebrated artists.
Salvador Dalí – Palazzo Reale, Milan
From 24 September 2026 to 31 January 2027, Palazzo Reale will host an exhibition that explores Dalí’s relationship with fashion. The show brings together more than 200 works and documents—including paintings, drawings, photographs, garments, footage, jewellery and other objects—to examine how clothing and fashion became part of Dalí’s surrealist visual language and how surrealism influenced fashion.
