Trump Warns Iran Bombing Could Resume If Deal Fails

US President Donald Trump has warned that bombing against Iran could resume if Tehran does not agree to a proposed deal aimed at ending the war.

According to CNN and other reports, the United States and Iran are moving closer to a short memorandum that would declare an end to the conflict and open a 30-day negotiation period on major unresolved issues, including Iran’s nuclear program, frozen assets and future security in the Strait of Hormuz.

Trump said the US would pause “Project Freedom,” the operation designed to guide ships through the Strait of Hormuz, while talks continue. However, he warned that if Iran does not agree, the bombing would restart at a higher level of intensity.

The Strait of Hormuz remains central to the crisis, with Iran asserting greater control over the waterway and the US maintaining pressure through its blockade of Iranian ports. Oil prices reacted sharply to the possibility of a deal, falling below $100 before recovering some ground as markets weighed the risk of renewed conflict.

China is also playing a key role, with Iran’s foreign minister in Beijing for talks as global concern grows over energy security and regional stability.

The situation remains fragile. While diplomatic movement appears to be gaining momentum, US officials have warned that previous talks have collapsed at the last minute.
