Anyone who knows Richie Bansraj knows he is all about adventure, high energy moments, and turning everyday experiences into something entertaining.
That same energy showed up in a recent Facebook video where he appeared to eat what he called “edible sand” while exploring a North Coast beach. In the clip, he explains that you have to look for a specific colour and texture, pointing out a lighter, powdery section along the shoreline before picking it up and tasting it.
He goes on to say it does not taste salty like regular sand, but instead has a sweet flavour, even showing how similar material can be found near certain rocks where it appears to crumble naturally.
While it might look like actual sand at first glance, many believe the substance is really “chilli bibi,” a sweet, dusty local delicacy that closely resembles sand in appearance.
Moments like this are nothing new for Bansraj, who is known for his charismatic style and adventurous content, often blending humour with local culture in a way that keeps viewers engaged.
Do you think the “edible sand” is actually edible, or did you already know?
