Paris Coutain Drops Emotional New Video For “FREEDOM”
Trinidadian artist Paris Coutain is drawing attention with the release of his new music video, FREEDOM.
One of the video’s most striking scenes shows Coutain sitting on top of a flyover while a drone captures the moment from above, creating a powerful visual to match the song’s message.
In the track, Coutain opens up about growing up without a father figure, battling loneliness and carrying the pressure of trying to build a better life.
“Me never had a father figure, try fi figure out how fi be a man,” he says.
The song also touches on overthinking, mental struggles and the feeling of being held back by negativity. At one point, he reflects on the reality that some of the strongest opposition can come from people within your own community.
Despite the challenges, FREEDOM is ultimately about refusing to give up.
Coutain dedicates the song to his mother, promising to keep pushing until his dreams become reality.
“Mama me a do this just for you. One day my dreams will come true.”
He goes on to describe his desire to reach a point where his mother can retire and never have to worry about an empty fridge again.
The music video and song combine personal storytelling with powerful visuals, giving listeners a raw look into the struggles, ambitions and determination that continue to drive the young artist forward.
