The Ministry of Labor and Manpower Planning has praised the success of its digital job bank platform, which has connected hundreds of Guyanese job seekers with employment opportunities since its launch in March 2022. This online system not only simplifies the recruitment process but also efficiently matches candidates’ skills with available jobs, significantly reducing traditional barriers to employment. Yolanda Grant, the chief recruitment and manpower officer, emphasized that the initiative includes training sessions aimed at upskilling the youth, ensuring they are well-prepared for the workforce demands in a rapidly evolving economy. The job bank represents a pivotal move in modernizing employment practices in Guyana and is expected to continue opening doors for job seekers across the nation.
