Missing Aircraft Found, Occupants Safe; SVG Government Withholds Details Amid Investigation

The missing Dominican Republic-registered aircraft that disappeared during a flight from St. Vincent and the Grenadines to Tobago has been located, with no fatalities reported. The confirmation came from Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Security of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, St Clair Leacock during a radio programme on Monday.

Leacock revealed that international, regional, and national security agencies had all played a part in successfully locating the aircraft. However, he declined to divulge the exact location or the circumstances surrounding the disappearance, citing an ongoing security investigation.

“I cannot share all of the information that we have on it,” Leacock said, indicating that releasing operational details at this stage could potentially jeopardize the investigation. He further noted that authorities are extending their focus to the individuals who were aboard the aircraft.

“We are concerned not so much about the aircraft because aircraft don’t fly themselves, but the people who fly in that aircraft,” he stated. While it has been confirmed that everyone on board is safe, investigators continue to probe into the events that led to the aircraft’s disappearance. Security agencies from multiple jurisdictions remain involved in the ongoing investigation, with further details expected to be released as the probe progresses.
