Finance Minister Davendranath Tancoo has reiterated the government’s final proposal to the Public Services Association (PSA) for public sector backpay, maintaining the offer as a 60-40 split. This proposal, announced by Tancoo, remains firm despite ongoing negotiations with the union.
The PSA, led by President Felisha Thomas, has rejected the proposed offer, arguing it does not adequately meet the needs of public sector workers. Thomas has stated that the union will continue to push for a more favorable agreement for its members.
