Following a commanding victory in the recent elections, Prime Minister Gaston Brown has presented a clear vision for the future of Antigua and Barbuda. Leading the Antiguan Barbadian Labour Party to secure 15 out of 17 contested seats, Brown outlined his administration’s commitment to infrastructure improvements and economic development during his appearance on the Brown on Bone Show.
Brown emphasized that over $50 million would be invested into enhancing road construction across all constituencies. Additionally, he announced a substantial $150 million program focused on Barbuda, aiming to boost infrastructure and tourism. Plans to engage the hospitality sector in discussions about establishing a livable minimum wage were also highlighted.
The Prime Minister’s approach reflects a desire to welcome diverse talent into the ALP, suggesting an openness to high-profile opposition figures potentially joining the party. Brown insists that this new term will focus on addressing pressing issues and enhancing the quality of life for all citizens of Antigua and Barbuda.
