A 56 year old East Ruimveldt man remains in critical condition after a suspected gas explosion at his home. His wife said the family was asleep when she smelled gas and asked her husband to investigate, moments before a powerful blast tore through the lower flat of their house. The Guyana Fire Service is investigating the cause of the explosion.
